Trackmania Nations is a racing game that easily can be said to be as good as a fullprice game. It is made by the software company Nadeo especially for the worlds first official world championship in computer gaming, where participants from all over the world compete for a price of $400.000
The point og the game is to set new lap records. In singleplayer mode there are records that, if beaten, will give you gold, silver or bronze medal on that track. You try again and again to beat the best records, and fight your own best record as a ghost car that drives alongside of you. When online, you battle for a set amount of time, and the player who gets the best lap before that time expires, is the winner.
The game is fast and a lot of fun. You also have a built in track editor that you can use and build your own tracks if you are becoming unbeatable on the tracks that comes with the game. Building tracks can be just as fun as racing, so why not build tracks and let your friends or co-workers try to beat your best time. When a track has been built, you race it as many times as you want, and the computer uses your times to calculate the lap times needed for the gold, silver and bronze medal.
