Trackmania Nations is a new and improved version of the racing game Trackmania Nations. It is the free edition of the game Trackmania Unlimited Forever, but the fact that it is a free edition is something you'll hardly ever notice. The game can easily compete with full priced games.
The game is in many ways identical to the older version, the point of the game is to set new lap records. In singleplayer mode there are records that, if beaten, will give you gold, silver or bronze medal. When you start on a new track, you now can select which ghost car you want to compete with, gold, silver or bronze, so that you can set the bar for the lap time you want to beat. You'll also see your own best lap time as a ghost car racing around the track, if you have tried that track before.
There are naturally loads of new tracks to choose from, but a lack of tracks is something you'll never have to worry about, since a track editor is included within the game. Creating your own tracks are in many ways just as fun as driving. And in addition you can send the tracks to your friends and family, and enjoy yourself while they work their fingers to the bone trying to get to the finish line.
The game is overall very similar to the older version, but has updatet graphics, more building blocks in the track editors, and has been received an overall tune-up since it is after all two years since Trackmania Nation was released.
