System Explorer

In System Explorer, you have a small program that does the same thing that "Task Manager" does in Windows, only it does it better. If you have questions about what programs or processes that are running on your computer, why they are running or who started them, then System Explorer can answer those questions for you. You can even use System Explorer as an replacement for Task Manager that comes built into Windows.

By rightclicking a program or process, then select "File Info Search" followed by "Process.Library.com" will send your web browser to this very useful site, and look up the process you have selected for you. This way you can quickly see what it is, and if it could be a security risk.

System Explorer comes in two editions, one that you install on your computer, and the other one is a socalled "portable version". This means it comes in a zip-file, and all you have to do is unzip it and doubleclick the .exe-file inside, and the program starts. No need to install it on your system. Great if you are trying to keep the software installed on your computer to a minimu. You could also put System Explorer on a USB-stick or CD, and easily bring it with you to whatever PC you want to run it on. SystemExplorer can also be used from withing LiberKey if you have that installed.
