LiberKey

This piece of free software might turn out to be one of the most useful you'll ever get. LiberKey is in fact not only one piece of software, it is a collection of different freeware software, all of them are portable. This means there is no need to install them on a computer to use them. You quite simply download LiberKey, unzip the files to a USB-drive, portable hard drive or in fact wherever you want, and you're ready to run all of the programs. Another advantage in these portable applications, is that they don't leave any traces on your computer, either on your hard drive or in the windows registry. This means your system won't get slower because it has too many installed applications on it.

Screenshot LiberKeyLiberKey can be downloaded in four different version. The difference between the four is the amount of software that comes with it. "Ultimate" contains 168 programs, and will occupy 587 MB installed on your drive. "Standard" contains the 90 most used applications, and will occupy 442 MB. Basic is the smallest pack, containing 12 applications, and will only occupy 120 MB. Finally you can install just LiberKey, and then manually install the software you want.

Your software will be kept updated by LiberKey, and you will be alerted if a new version of a program you have on your LiberKey is released, so that you may download and install it directly from within LiberKey. You could also download and install additional software, should you find the need for another program. So installing the smallest compilation doesn't mean you'll be missing out on anything, it only means you'll have to download and install the other programs later if you want them.

Many of the freeware applications you can download from our web site is also available on LiberKey. Some examples are Opera, FireFox, OpenOffice.org, Blender, Celestia, Stellarium, PeaZip, Inkscape, CCleaner and VLC. So if you already are familiar with those programs, and would like to use them also on other computers, without having to install anything, then LiberKey on your USB drive is an excellent way to go. Also, if you would like to try a program before installing it on your system, just use LiberKey.

All you need to do is download and unzip LiberKey to the drive of your choice, and you're ready to use your favourite software directly off your portable drive.
